DIY Butterbeer Recipe



Before HellthyJunkFood Julia Goolia and I went to Harry Potter Land at Universal and tried their Butterbeer, which Julia was disappointed by the fact that this child friendly themed beverage was void of any actual beer. So we caught wind of a Facebook video recipe and decided to try and break it down ourselves. Julia still wants to try her recipe which consists of a stick of butter and a can of beer.

Butterbeer

Equipment:
• Medium Sauce Pot:
• Rubber Spatula (Mr. Pig):
• Glass Mug:

Ingredients:​
• 12 oz A&W Cream Soda
• 1/4 Cup Butterbeer Catalyst
• Whipped Cream
• Butterbeer Catalyst:
• 1 Cup Brown Sugar
• 1 Tbsp Water
• 6 Tbsp Butter
• 1/2 tsp Cider Vinegar
• 3/4 tsp Rum Extract
• 3/4 Cup Heavy Cream

Directions:

1.) In a small sauce pot, add 1/2 Cup Brown sugar & 1 Tbsp water and bring the mixture to a boil.

2.) Add 1/2 tsp Cider Vinegar, 3/4 tsp Rum Extract and 3/4 Cup Heavy Cream and mix.

3.) Let this mixture chill

4.) In a Glass Mug, add 1/4 Cup of the Butterbeer mixture

5.) Now add 1 (12 oz) bottle of A&W Cream Soda and watch the anticlimactic reaction of carbonation to sugar butter make a foamy frothy beer topping

6.) Add whipped cream for the children
